As a result we have another wide range of exhibits displaying the wide ranging interests of our club members and ample proof we are indeed an Allsorts motor club.

A visit to the Museum organised by Winchester MG Owners Club. Due to heavy overnight rain which continued into the morning, Allsorts managed only 3 classic cars supported by several in more modern vehicles. The MG owners proved to be a much hardier lot and turned up in their "Pride and Joy" nevertheless it proved to be an enjoyable day for us all at a really interesting venue. A return visit is highly recommended.

We have to do this again...."
This year the weather was kind to us. It was dry, blue skied and sunny, a perfect winters day.
Setting off from a somewhat busy Arlebury Park, the run to the Tichborne Arms was made complete due to the now compulsory road closure on the published route! Heavy rain over the previous days had caused some flooding and even the shortened route involved some tricky driving through substantial pools of water.
The eclectic mix of cars (and members) arrived from various directions and assembled in the car park. Around 30 of us including the dog, sat down for a delicious meal, being looked after superbly by the Tichborne Arms staff.
30 Members and their partners braved the rigours of the cost of living crisis and met at the Pots.
The Barn was adorned with Christmas decorations and even had crackers to enhance the occasion. The food and service were excellent amidst the merriment enjoyed by all.
We met at the newly re-opened Titchborne Arms just outside Alresford SO24 0NA from 9.30 am'ish onwards for breakfast and coffee. We will then drove some 20 minutes or so to arrive at the Classic Garage for 11.30 am to see the premises and current stock of classic and vintage cars. Coffee was provided.
This event was over-subscribed and our plan is to repeat the event in March 2023. Please contact Neil to book your place(s) when the notification is issued
With thanks to Strutt & Parker of Winchester, their sponsorship made it possible for 10 Allsorts vehicles; one from each decade to be displayed, ranging from the 1900's to the 1990's. This was an opportunity for visitors to meet the owners and talk cars of all shapes, sizes and years.
As expected, the Adler, Bullnose Morris and Triumph Vitesse drew the biggest crowds, with a lot of people reminiscing over the MG BGT. One young person beamed when sat in the Bullnose having their photo taken. Numerous people also took great delight in sitting in the Adler. A lot of people asked about the 1930's Triumph Vitesse, while admiring glances and comments prevailed when looking at the gleaming XK150. People commented about the Morris 8 and how original it had been kept for over 50 years by the second owner. Puzzled heads gazed at the black E type wondering what modifications had been made to the car, having been drawn in by the flared wheel arches and wide tyres.
We spent an enjoyable evening viewing a unique range of cars with the opportunity to talk with the owners who have "been there, seen it, and done it" about their vehicles, some of which were still projects.
Afterwards we met at a local hostelry, for beverages and food and a chat.
Something of an Annual event, is the popular run out to the Plough.
After a relaxing drive through the countryside, we took our seats for good food and a chat with friends
It was a good day with great weather, and a great location, away from the public car park, next to the track, and the MG Owners Club. The feedback was very positive, such as good value for money and an easy drive to and from Thruxton. We're hoping to attend again in 2023.
The event was uncrowded and relaxed, with none of the queues endured at other events. Reasonably priced food / drink vendors and amenities within easy reach. There were plenty of opportunities to see the action and gain a good vantage point around the track and Grandstand or visit the pits, as well as Land Rover, motorcycle, aircraft, and helicopter static displays. We were also treated to a Hurricane flying low overhead.
